Welcome to Puzzle Junkies. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms you may not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Puzzle Junkies, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

Puzzle Junkies is an online platform for playing and creating puzzles, including:

• Daily puzzle challenges (crosswords, sudoku, spelling bee, connections, kakuro, hitori and more)
• Practice mode with unlimited puzzles
• Puzzle generation tools for educators and publishers
• Leaderboards, streaks and achievements
• Social features and progress tracking

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. User accounts

3.1 Account creation

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account.

3.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

3.3 Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe harm the Service or other users.

4. Subscriptions and payments

• Puzzle Junkies offers free and paid subscription plans.
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in U.S. dollars, and renew automatically unless cancelled.
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our Refund Policy.
• Price changes will be communicated in advance and apply to subsequent billing cycles.
• You may cancel anytime in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts.
• Use bots or scrapers to access the Service without permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Share account credentials or impersonate others.
• Transmit malware or otherwise harm the Service or its users.
• Infringe Puzzle Junkies' or any third party's intellectual property rights.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including all content, puzzles, graphics, logos and software, is owned by Puzzle Junkies or its licensors. When you create puzzles using our tools you retain ownership of your original input, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and distribute that content in connection with the Service. Commercial use of generated puzzles is permitted only on subscription plans that include that right.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Puzzle Junkies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Puzzle Junkies from any claims, damages or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Disputes are resolved first by good-faith negotiation and, failing that, by binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
